Dawn has been riding for over 40 years, and has a strong background in dressage. In 1996, Dawn and her daughters started riding with Pam, becoming educated and competent riders under her tutelage. Dawn has been growing and nurturing her own herd of horses – large and miniature – alongside her four children and a myriad of cats and dogs at her small farm in East Greenwich, for 20 years.

Dawn and her AMHA registered  miniature horse, Grosshills Mini Pearl , “Pearl” have visited schools, nursing homes, participated in charitable events/ fundraisers, and performed home visits. They have even walked in a parade!

Several years ago, Dawn was drawn to the Eagala Model of equine therapy and its potential to bring peace, connection, and healing via horses, to those that might not otherwise have access to equine therapy. She soon became certified.

It is Dawn’s great joy to share the sense of peace that comes from sharing space with horses. The Eagala Model – which utilizes a team consisting of a mental health professional , an equine specialist and horses– truly allows for growth and healing and it is something Dawn is extremely passionate about.
